Xiaomi has been unstoppable in recent times, the Chinese OEM has been releasing devices of all sorts on a regular basis from Smartphones, Bikes, TVs, Robots and so much more, the CEO even recently teased what could possibly be a new Mi Band with an LCD display that is probably in works.
The only market that the Chinese company hasn’t entered yet is the smartwatch business but according to what we are able to gather from news coming out of China, that is about to change.
Xiaomi just launched its first smartwatch which is surprisingly aimed at children rather than adults. The smartphone is tagged with Mi Bunny Moniker and comes in two different colors selections being Navy Blue and Pink.
The smartwatch is specifically geared toward toddlers with its beautifully round shaped display and comes with both GPS and an SOS button. Pressing the SOS button sends a signal to the parent’s phone revealing the exact location of the child in case of an emergency.
The watch measures about 5x189mm and weighs a mere 37 g. Xiaomi decided to fit the watch with a food grade silicon to avoid any allergies suffered by children. The battery has a 300mAh cell capacity and the watch comes with a preinstalled sim card that charges Yuan1 per minute in China.
