UMI To Copy Apple’s “Live Photo” Camera Feature For The UMI TOUCH

After obtaining results through a questionnaire they posted on the Project Appolo webpage, UMi is said to be designing a phone based on everything everyone wants and the device is being called the UMI TOUCH.

Most of the device’s specs are already known but what seems to be a lingering misery is the camera sensor that is supposed to be featured in the smartphone.

It has been previously reported that the imaging sensor for the 13MP rear camera is going to be IMX328 from Sony, which is not even listed on the official website of the said supplier.

It was also argued that it could be a new sensor, though, never used on any other smartphone before and might just be exclusive to UMI.

Today, however,  the folks from UMI have talked up their new device saying it is going to have the same “Live Photo” camera feature seen in recent Apple devices.

Not many details have been revealed on how the feature will be implemented to the UMI TOUCH though the company says it would provide facilities for instant short video technology specific to social media websites like Facebook and Twitter.

The added “Live Photo” was not the only new feature that UMI said their next phone will be launch with, the handset will also come with dual-tone flash for the rear camera and LED flash for the selfie shooter to accommodate clearer and better selfies. The company did make mention of other features  that will certainly beef up the camera capability of the UMI TOUCH like 3D photos, multi and wide-angle photos, face detection and lastly, motion detection.

Pre-sales for UMI TOUCH is said to begin on the 18th of this month so be on the lookout and stay tuned!
