Recently, Chinese smartphone maker UMi announced the UMi Plus and on top it, there will be a higher version called the UMi Plus Extreme. It will be added to the UMi family that already has UMi Super and Plus, as these devices are feature-rich and affordable.
Recall, the UMi Plus was announced in September at IFA Berlin event. The UMi Plus body possesses an aluminium aircraft grade alloy, flaunting a display screen of 5.5” Full HD resolution and 2.5D arc, under its belt is an Helio P10 processor.
The memory is spacious and has a 4GB RAM coupled with a 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot. Based on the visual aspect, the front cam is a 5MP shooter GalaxyCore®GC5005 sensor and the back cam is a 13MP shooter SAMSUNG®3L8. Also, it boasts fingerprint scanner with USB Type-C connector and all the usual connectivity features.
The UMi Plus eventually proved to be a success for the company with largely positive reviews from users and critics alike.
Nevertheless, it seems like the brand is eager to taking the success of the device to the next level. And the UMi Plus Extreme fits well with its high specs and sure to compete in the higher segment of the market.
Based on the information posted on the official UMi Facebook page, the Extreme version will feature a 5.5” Full HD display, along with Helio P20 processor A-53 cores clocking at 2.3GHz offering 20-percent better performance (Mali T880MP2) than the UMi Plus.
The camera 13MP at the rear and the RAM is huge as it comes with 6GB and a 64GB internal storage coupled with an expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD slot.
The device will ship with Android 7 Nougat out of the box, and will feature two colour variants- Blue and Black. The price tag is said to be in the region of $299.99.
