Ulefone is managing to stay up to date with the current rival flagships for the time being, and in its bid to do so, the company has added the Ulefone Tiger model to its shelves. The mid-range smartphone features a metal body using magnesium-alloy and brushing for pointing out the metallic looks. It has a non-inflammable heat-isolating material for protection and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
A unique feature of the back cover is the shining camera protector, and unlike latest trends, Ulefone Tiger has a removable back cover which allows two SIM cards and 1 SD card to be set up at the same time. On the front side, the 2.5D Corning Gorilla 3 glass covers it.
The highlight of the device is the 4200mAh battery, as it supports 2-day normal use or at most 550 hours of standby. The battery is packed with the latest generation of Sony li-polymer electric cell which leads to more stable electric input and output. Also included is a chipset to control energy consumption to avoid unnecessary charge loss.
According to the specs, the budget Tiger model sports a 5.5” HD display coupled with MediaTek MTK6737W 1.3GHz 64bit chipset with dual 4G support.
In terms of the memory, there is a 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and a 16GB internal storage with an expandable microSD support. As far as the optics, both front and back cameras sport a 5-element lens, as the former is a Samsung SE5K2 5MP camera for selfies and a Sony IMX219 8MP interpolated to 13MP back camera.
More on the device, there is a fingerprint scanner in line with 5 finger IDs for multiple purposes and independent audio chipset AW8737 Smart PA to enhance the audio experience. Pre-installed is Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box enabling off-screen gestures. The Ulefone Tiger will be available in 3 colour variants- Sky Black, Champagne Gold, and Space Grey.
As of now, there is no information yet on the price and release date but in time to come, we will update you.
