The US market is one of the biggest markets in the smartphone industry, and brands are doing their best to see their flagships strive in the market. Smartphone manufacturer Sony are the latest to have reported their intentions to release two devices in the US market soon.
Sony Xperia XZ
The new Sony Xperia XZ is rated amongst the most powerful models in Sony’s 2016 Xperia X queue and is said to feature a 5.2” 1920 x 1080 pixel display, packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
Based on the memory, the RAM is 3GB with either a 32GB or 64GB internal storage supported by an expandable storage of up to 256GB via microSD slot. As far as the cameras are concerned, there will be a 23MP rear camera for videos and a 15MP front-facing camera for selfies. In addition, the device will feature a UP68 water resistant design, a USB Type-C port powered by a 2900mAh battery.
Sony Xperia X Compact
As the name suggests ‘compact’, this new device falls under the category of Sony shipments that features smaller screens but embedded inside are powerful hardware. The Sony Xperia X Compact sports a 4.6” 128 x 720-pixel display, underneath is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor.
There will be a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, along with a massive 23MP rear camera for videos and a 5MP front camera for selfies. This model is not water-resistant, and it has the trendy USB Type-C port powered by a 2700mAh battery.
Both the Sony Xperia XZ and the Sony Xperia X Compact are said to retail at the price of $700 and $469 respectively. This phone looks quite expensive, well this is for the US market as there is no news yet for outsiders.
Another news reads that the devices sold in the US will be unlocked which should work on GSM networks including AT&T and T-mobile, and fingerprint sensors will be absent as well.
The release dates are quoted for late September and early October for each device.
