If you’ve been holding off on buying the new Samsung Galaxy S6 (especially due to lack of expandable storage), now is the time to reconsider your decision and go for what Samsung is calling the “Ultimate Upgrade”.
This new promotion offered by Samsung is targeted at both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB variants. Basically, you first need to get a Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB at full-price from either your carrier or a national retailer.
Once you have the phone, you have to submit your claim for a $100 rebate on Samsung Promotion’s official page along with your email address, physical address, purchase receipt for the phone and its IMEI number.
You will receive a confirmation email after you submit your claim and it takes around eight weeks before you get your $100 rebate. If you’re wondering why Samsung is offering exactly $100 back on your purchase of a 64GB Galaxy S6 phone, the reason is that $100 is the price difference between the 64GB and 32GB variants.
Hence, according to Samsung, you now get to buy double the memory at the same price, which is an attractive offer, especially given the lack of MicroSD card support or any other form of expandable storage on the Galaxy S6.
The Ultimate Upgrade offer is valid across the United States only though, and is applicable on 64GB variants of the Galaxy S6 purchased between June 21 and July 5.
What do you think about Samsung’s latest promotion? We’re sure early adopters of the Galaxy S6 aren’t very pleased, but the offer should attract new buyers, especially those who were earlier concerned about the phone’s storage capacity.
While some people may see this as an attempt to quickly sell the less popular 64GB versions of Samsung’s flagship phone, there is basically no harm in getting the higher capacity version at the same price you would pay for its 32GB version.
