Leaks have become fairly common now (so much so that they aren’t exactly “leaks”) but they still bring excitement and some guilty pleasure to the mix by showing us glimpses of upcoming devices.
The latest phone to have its leaked photos surface is Motorola’s Moto G 2015 or the 3rd generation of the popular mid-range phone which offers a lot of value for money.
Leaked pictures of the Moto G 2015 show a similar candy bar frame but a slight departure from the old design, especially on the back, which is now textured and should make for a better grip.
Specs wise, there are mixed reports – where some claim that the 2015 Moto G will be a minor upgrade over the 2nd Gen version but others are expecting more powerful hardware.
Ideally the Moto G is expected to have a Quad-core Snapdragon 610 clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB RAM, an 8 Megapixel rear shooter and a 5 inch 1080p display. If these specs are true, the major differences between the 3rd generation Moto G and the 2nd generation Moto G will be of the display, processor and RAM.
While there are no updates about the price or the release date, the phone is expected to be released later this month (around the 28th) and we believe it will do well due to decent hardware specs and a moderately low price point – things that worked really well for the first two generations.
Another good reason to go with Moto G is timely updates when it comes to the OS, and Moto G 2015 is expected to come with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
What do you guys think about the upcoming Moto G? will you be upgrading from your Moto G second generation? We’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
