Meizu has been a strong fan favorite, releasing inexpensive but able hardware when it comes to Android phones. This company over the past few years had made it a tradition to be shipping their flagship smartphones in two different series , the MX series and the Pro edition with each featuring identical specs but a different chipset.
This trend however was broken with the introduction of the Pro 6 variant as it featured a Helio X25 processor instead of the expected Exynos processor from Samsung as the Pro series of device featured an Exynos processor whereas the MX line were usually powered by MediaTek’s chipsets.
A new trend has now been developed by this same manufacturer which is the unveiling of Ubuntu powered high-performance flagship smartphone as can be seen in the released the MX4 and the Pro 5 Ubuntu edition and now, they are set to release the MX6 Ubuntu series model.
The device to some extent confirms some of the leaked images we have seen in times past with regards to how the device would look like once official. This image deduces a pretty cool Ubuntu-oriented handset and we are sure to see that physical home button down below with a fingerprint sensor embedded in it.
Although we do not know much about the features this smartphone possesses, we at least have some info which include a Helio X20 SoC accompanied with 3GB of RAM. Lastly, the company is expected to release its latest smartphone on July 19 but this info is quiet, not certain as we haven’t received any confirmation from the company themself.
