It has been two months ago since Meizu announced the much-anticipated MX6 smartphone with 4GB RAM, as of recent, the company made another announcement of the MX6 device getting a new 3GB RAM model.
The new version will join the long list of Meizu releases for this year, and is thought to pack high-end specs just like the previous model.
Smartphones are graded based on a number of specs under its belt, so let’s take a look at the Meizu MX6 3GB version.
It has an all-metal body with uniquely placed antenna lines and 7.25mm of thickness to keep it slim and sleek. The display screen is sized at 5.5” 1080 x 1920 pixels with LCD panel supplied by SHARP, and it fuelled by a 2.3GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, along with 32GB of internal storage.
Based on the camera, the back rocks a 12MP f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, PDAF which is fit for recording up to 4K videos. On the front, is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 lens, which can take great selfies made specifically for low lighting condition.
Connectivity wise, it offers 4G with VoLTE, and some other options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port. The Meizu MX6 is fuelled by a 3060mAh battery with fast charging support, which can charge the gadget up to 65% in only 30 minutes.
Contrasting both RAM versions, it can be seen that the specifications are the same, but a lesser RAM shoots the price tag low which is affordable compared to the previous model. The new variant has been priced at 1799 Yuan ($270) in China, 200 Yuan less than the model with 4GB of RAM.
The device will be going on sale in China October 1st onwards via Meizu’s own online store, Lynx, and JD mall.
