Meizu is a brand that is slowly creeping up the ladder of Chinese smartphones amongst other notable brands such as Oppo and Huawei. Having released the PRO and E series in the past, its latest development is the M series.
The smartphone company just announced the newest member of the M series called the M5s, and the registrations for the device’s flash sale has surpassed the exceeded limit as 4.25 million notifications has been recorded.
Considering the price and specifications of the Meizu’s new budget-friendly mid-range smartphone, the firm still expects more registrations from potential buyers.
The Meizu M5s is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 and is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU coupled with 3GB of RAM. It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3000mAh battery.
Other features such as mTouch fingerprint scanner and support for dual-SIM and VoLTE also comes with the smartphone. The M5s will be available in silver, gold, and rose gold options.
Based on the price, the M5s will be available in two variants – a 16GB and a 32GB storage variant priced at 799 Yuan and 999 Yuan, respectively. The Meizu M5s is currently only available in China with no news of whether the company will be bringing the new device to other regions.
Keep in mind that those are only pre-registrations that require nothing more than an email address and no money have changed hands at this point. It also wouldn’t be shocking if the initial stock of the device will sell out within minutes once the sale begins.
