Blackview is a Chinese manufacturer that have been doing quite well in the market, and as manufacturers tend to release a successor to an existing model, Blackview is also following in that trend as the E7S takes over from the E7 model.
Based on the upgrade, it is a bit of an odd duck because the RAM gets bumped to 2GB RAM and storage to 16GB, and the processor takes a hit with using MediaTek MT6580 instead of the previous 4G enabled chipset MT6737. Another difference is the micro SD as the new model supports 32GB while its predecessor 64GB, this is due to SoC limitations.
The rest of the specifications looks the same as it features a 5.5″ display size with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The main camera is an 8MP with LED flash while the front has a modest 2MP sensor.
Other than that, you will find a fingerprint sensor on the back that covers the 2,700mAh battery which should last for a day. The device is available in three colours namely Grey, White and Cyan.
Connectivity wise, it supports a 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900), 3G (WCDMA 900 / 2100), and 4G (LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600) and Mali T720GPU for smooth gameplay. Other features include a Dual SIM card slot, dual standby, and one talk.
The Blackview E7S device is shown in all its glory drawing a comparison to the iPhone in resemblance, although it’s made of plastic but it has soft lines and rounded edges that give a good hand-feel.
Down to the price, it can be purchased at a reduced rate on Aliexpress for $69.99 which looks like a real bargain.
