iPhone X Screen ‘Temporarily Unresponsive’ in Cold Weather for Some Users, Apple to Fix With Software Update

It’s barely a month since Apple launched its highly sophisticated iPhone X device that seems to be acting abnormally in the hands of few users.

According to some iPhone X users, the flagship’s screen has not been not responding when used under cold weather conditions.

The company quickly jumped in front of the issue by assuring users that it is currently working on bringing a fix for the problem.

Going into details, users claimed that their iPhone X screens refused to respond to touch inputs when they stepped outside of their houses.

They reported that it literally took 2 seconds from going inside to the cold outdoors before their screens stop working.

In one statement made by Apple, the company reveals that “it is aware of instances where the iPhone X screen will become temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment. After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again.”

However, the company on its many efforts to roll out a software update that will certainly solve the problem. To recall, Apple released the iPhone X sometime in the beginning of this month with several market regions already getting the best of the flagship handset.

Coming to specs, the iPhone X brings a 5.8-inch Super Retina display which apparently, is the company’s first handset to bring such. It features a Face ID, wireless charging, all glass and stainless-steel design, water and dust resistance.

In the camera department, the handset comes with two 12-megapixel cameras tagged with OIS. It has a rear camera feature that brings dual optical image stabilization which comprises of a new color filter, deeper pixels, an image signal processor.

At the front, it comes with a 7-megapixel sensor with FaceTime HD camera. The new iPhone X device is powered by A11 Bionic processor tagged with a neural engine for supporting machine learning, augmented reality and 3D gaming.
