With how competitive the Chinese smartphone has become, OEMs are working around the clock to release something that would blow our minds, nonetheless, one manufacturer, InFocus as been silent for a while now since their last launch some months back.
They are now back and better with a new flagship smartphone tagged with the moniker InFocus Epic 1 that comes equipped with MediaTek’s Helio X20 chipset that is bundled up with a Mali-T880MP4 GPU, 3GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 32GB that would be expandable to an additional 128GB via the microSD card slot made available.
The Epic 1 features a 5.5 inch Full HD touchscreen display with resolutions of about 1920 x 1080P that has a corning Gorilla Glass protection over it. On the top of this display is an 8MP selfie snapper which is accompanied at the back with a 16MP main camera capable of PDAF and has a LED flashlight.
It comes running the Android Marshmallow based InLife UI 2.0 from the box and is fueled by a 3000mAh battery pack which is pretty good when compared to the spec sheet. Additionally, a spherical fingerprint scanner also makes an appearance with a pretty fast response time of 0.1s.
As of now, the smartphone has been launched only for the Indian market as we still do not have word on whether or not it would go global. The InFocus Epic 1 is currently available over at Amazon for a price of $195 and would be made available in only one colour option which is Gold.
