After weeks of flirting by Taiwanese smartphone OEM HTC, it has now confirmed the official release of the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro. The mid-range devices are quite similar, differing in only a couple of ways.
Both handsets come with metallic gold contours giving them a premium look, while been set apart in specs and a fingerprint scanner. Let’s take an in-depth look at the two devices:
HTC Desire 10 Pro
The Pro has the better specs featuring a 5.5” Full HD IPS 1080 pixel display with Gorilla Glass protection. It is powred by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor complemented by a 4GB RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. There is also has another version of the Pro with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. At the back, the fingerprint scanner sits there controlling the camera and unlocking the device.
This is a phone for camera freaks as it flaunts a 20MP main camera at its rear with f/2.2 aperture, laser auto-focus and dual-LED flash, while there is a 13MP shooter up front as it supports HTC’s Selfie Panorama mode.
It measures at 156.5 x 76 x 7.9mm, weighing in at 165g and carries a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charge keeping the lights on. Based on the connectivity, there are a whole lot of options available such as Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, AGPS + GLONASS and Cat. 6 LTE.
HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle
The Lifestyle version sports a 5.5” HD Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Underneath the device is a Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, and come with two memory editions, first up is 2GB RAM plus 16GB internal storage and the other one comes with 3GB RAM plus 32GB inbuilt storage. Both are supported by an expandable storage of up to 2TB via microSD.
Based on the visual aspect, the camera features a 13MP rear camera f/2.2 aperture with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera f/2.8 aperture. Connectivity wise, there is 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS, dual-SIM support. The audio is styled with HTC BoomSound technology with Dolby Audio Enhancement and 24-bit Hi-Res audio certification. It measures 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.7mm weighing 155 grams packed by a battery of 2700mAh.
Both the Desire 10 Pro and Lifestyle have been made available in four colour options: Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue and Valentine Lux models. And will be shipping with HTC Sense UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
