Last updated on

If you’re getting good at any game on the PS4, you might want to start broadcasting your gameplay over popular platforms like Twitch and YouTube to try and build a community and possibly (just maybe) become the next Ninja aka Richard Tyler Blevins!

The question is, how to broadcast on PS4? Fortunately for you, the PlayStation has streaming options built into the OS, and you can get started with a few basic steps.

#1. Go to the Settings Menu

On the main screen when your PS4 starts, move “up” to see a small navigation menu and go to the end to select the Settings option.

#5. Start Broadcasting Live Games from PS4

Once your accounts are linked, you can run any game on your PS4 and use the “Share” button on your PS4 controller to open a menu and select the “Broadcast Gameplay” option. You will be prompted to enter details like title and description and can begin streaming live.

Alternatively, you can also link your Twitch and YouTube accounts via the “Sharing and Broadcast Settings” option after you press the Share button.

Advanced broadcasting settings are also available via this menu, allowing you to select whether you want your PlayStation camera view to be included in the broadcast or not, and other settings including messages and so on.

The PlayStation 4 (PS4) is nearing the end of its lifecycle but has seen unprecedented growth, with Sony selling nearly 100 million units! Even today, the console is going strong and features some of the latest games, including hot battle royale titles like Fortnite and the more recent Apex Legends.
