It’s barely a week since the release of Huawei’s Honor 7X device that has earned a lot of appreciation from first-time grabbers. Now the company has just reportedly affirmed it will be releasing a new bezel-less handset on the fifth of December 5.
The company has released a teaser showing a device with thin bezels and 18:9 aspect ratio display. Notably, we see the handset sporting a dual camera setup at the back, and AI integration.
The handset is said to be offered in Aurora Blue, Gold, and Black color options, and will go on sale in China on October 17.
Interestingly, the event is expected to take place just a day after Huawei is rumored to bring its top-end flagship handsets, Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
To recall, Huawei launched the Honor 7X that highlighted a 5.93-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) curved display tagged with an 18:9 screen ratio and minimal bezels in a unibody metal form factor.
The handset supports dual-SIM capability and runs Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 out of the box. The handset is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM speed.
Fitted with a 3340mAh battery, the Honor 7X also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back area. Talking about camera, the handset sports 16-megapixel, and 2-megapixel rear cameras, and at the front brings an 8-megapixel sensor camera.
The handset also brings other key connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS / GLONASS. Its memory space can also be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM setup.
