Early this month, it was revealed that Chinese smartphone OEM iNew were on the verge of releasing a new device known as ‘Pandora R9’. The new smartphone becomes the first in the Pandora series, as many others are expected in the future.
The Pandora Series will bolster iNew’s portfolio of phones which also has the U Series smartphones (U8W, U9, U5W), the L Series (L3) and the V Series (V3).
The new model does take a few design pointers from the other previous generations but builds upon their design to create a much more premium and unique look.
The brand has confirmed the specifications of the selfie-focused flagship, while the price and release date are still unknown yet.
iNew Pandora 9 will be sporting a 5” Full HD 1080p display from SHARP, along with MediaTek MT6737 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz.
There will be RAM of 3GB coupled with a 16GB of built-in storage which should be expandable but has not been mentioned yet. Being a selfie-centric flagship, it comes equipped with a 13MP at the back for videos and 13MP front camera with Moonlight camera.
Connectivity wise, the Pandora R9 supports 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, dual SIM support and GPS. In addition, there will be a Fingerprint sensor with CERAM technology, 2A fast charge, and NXP music chipset and Box speaker.
The smartphone is powered by a 3200mAh battery which supports fast charge as well and will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Smartphone brand iNew has always priced its devices at an affordable rate boasting quality specs, so we do not expect the iNew Pandora series to be an exception. Stay tuned for more news to emerge on this new flagship.
