Alcatel U5 HD With Front Flash Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Last updated on

Following the launch of Alcatel’s U5 HD budget handset back in August, the device never made it to India, even though the initial launch was tagged a global one.

Now, it seems like the new U5 HD has finally reached India’s market with a price tag of Rs. 5,999. As it turns out, the company reportedly tweaked some of the specifications on handset compared to the standard global variant. For whatever reason the company chose to do, we have not the slightest idea.

Coming to specs, the dual-SIM Alcatel U5 HD smartphone runs on Android Nougat and sports a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display.

The handset is powered by the MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM compared to the 1GB RAM that came with the global variant.

The handset also brings 16GB of an internal unit that can be expanded further using a microSD card (up to 128GB).
In the camera department, the Alcatel U5 HD brings a 13-megapixel primary rear camera tagged with autofocus and LED flash.

The handset brings an 8-megapixel front camera tagged with LED flash support as well. It comes with key camera features including HDR, EIS, Instant Collage, Face Mask, Face Show, Selfie Album, and Face Beauty.

The handset also comes with a 2200mAh battery that the company claims can offer 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The device weighs 129grams and is 8.9mm thick.
