It is worth nothing to say that Meizu and MediaTek have what we can refer to as the closest relationship in the smartphone spectrum as they have been collaborating for more than a years to ship out handful of smartphones in times past and we are still expecting two other handsets from them in the form of the Meizu X and the Meizu M5 Note — which recently past through TENAA–.
Earlier this year, we saw them take center stage to release news that their next flagship SoC, the Helio X25 would be made exclusive to Meizu’s Pro 6 and MX 6 2016 flagship smartphones. Although that didn’t turn out to be the case as other smartphones shipped out with the said chipset, we still saw these Meizu expected flagship ship out with that SoC.
Now, a similar news is up and about which states that the 2017 flagship devices from Meizu would be having either MeidaTek’s Helio X30 or X35 processor running under their hood and recently, an insider has just confirmed this reality putting more credibility on this info.
This new processor is the dream of every flagship smartphone user as it comes in with a 10nm FinFET process making it the first 10nm chip announced. This would mean that the chipset would deliver higher performance as well as lower power consumption.
It is a deca-core processor with a tri-cluster architecture design which consist of 4 Cortex A72 cores, 4 Cortex a 53 cores and 2 Cortex A35 cores. So far, the response gotten with regards to this chip is awesome but on the Graphics side of things, it fall short when compared to Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon.
