Foldable handsets seem like the next big thing in modern day smartphone development. With Samsung haven paved the way for others, more and more handset developers are beginning to take the same trend.
This new one comes as ZTE just successfully released a foldable handset that the company is known to have been working on for a very long time.
Dubbed Axon M, this device is the first dual display handset with a hinge from ZTE. As is turns out, the device was unveiled exclusively to AT&T in the US and will start shipping from next month.
ZTE also released that the handset will see a global launch in different markets China, Europe, and Japan. ZTE touts the Axon M as a multimedia device and claims it can easily fit in a pocket when folded.
As part of the highlight of the handset, it brings four modes including Dual mode, which lets users use two different applications in separate screens.
Even better, the handset packs a full 6.75-inch full-HD display that game enthusiast would love. The new ZTE Axon M will be sold at $24.17 for 30 months.
Coming to specs, the handset sports two 5.2-inch dual full-HD TFT LCD displays with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM speed, the handset also brings 64GB internal storage space.
In the camera department, the handset sports 20-megapixel single camera which utilized for both rear and front-facing shots. The rear camera brings f/1.8 aperture.
The new ZTE Axon M foldable handset runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS and is backed by a 3180mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
