It’s 2017 and we are still talking about flagship, mid-range and entry-level devices. As this latest report would have it, ZTE axon is gearing up to bring a foldable handset, following the trend of Samsung’s X foldable device.
Apart from a host of teasers and rumors that have all hinted about the device, we’ve also seen a host leaks that have shown us exactly what the device might look like.
If new reports are to be believed, ZTE might be launching a handset with the codename Axon Multy, otherwise known as Axon M.
The handset is said to be released on October 17 and it comes, as the first ever dual-screen foldable handset.
As per one report, the handset is seen packing a hinge-like design on the side that is connected to the secondary display panel.
Furthermore, the handset is also tipped to come with a dual full-HD display that can fold into a 6.8-inch display tagged with a screen resolution of 1920×2160 pixels.
The event has been confirmed to take place in New York which might also mean that company is only planning to launch the handset exclusively to the US and possibly, later see a global launch.
Quite unfortunately, the company hasn’t revealed the specs of the handset as well its pricing details, so users will just have wait until we hear something.
Additionally, the handset is said to perform the normal duties of a phone once folded. Also, the dual screens as revealed by reports could mean that the ZTE Axon M will be able to run two applications at the same time on different screens, similar to an experience offered on the PC.
