Xiaomi Says It Sold Over 4 Million Smartphones Within a Month

Following the launch of several flagship handsets this year, we can all agree, Xiaomi probably deserves that big break it has been endlessly searching for.

Although the Chinese manufacturers still have a long way to go when compare to the likes of Samsung, LG, and Apple, it’s just a matter of time, before Xiaomi overtakes all its competitors.

Haven reached a milestone, Xiaomi reportedly reveals that it sold over four million handsets within a month. This happened during the festive season and Xiaomi is more than overwhelms with such an accomplishment.

A few years ago, the Chinese electronic consumer wouldn’t have come close to such a record sale in the space of one month.

Apart from that, one other report showed how Xiaomi came out on number one for the mobile brand on e-commerce websites, Flipkart and Amazon.

Sometime last month, the company had announced its sale of one million units in just two days during Flipkart and Amazon sales.

To recall, Xiaomi launched its top-end flagship handset sometime back, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, that the company has become popular for. The handset is a top-quality device and it goes head to head with the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and LG’s G6 devices.

According to one report even, Xioami’s Mi MIX 2 was seen bearing impressively high scores than Samsung’s faded Galaxy S8 and LG’s overhyped G6 device.

Coming to specs, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 supports dual-SIM configuration and runs MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The handset brought a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

In the camera department, the flagship offering brings a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear camera clubbed with 1.25-micron pixels, 4-axis optical image stabilization, 5-piece lens, a f/2.0 aperture and a facial recognition technology.

At the front area, the handset brings a 5-megapixel front camera, as well as a facial recognition feature that can be used to unlock the mobile device.

In terms of storage, the new Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 brings 128GB of memory space that unfortunately, cannot be expanded.

Talking about connectivity options, the handset brings 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11c, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C.

It also comes with onboard sensors including accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, and ultrasonic proximity sensor. The handset is fitted with a 3400mAh battery, measures 151.8×75.5×7.7mm, and weighs 185 grams.

Separately, the company touts the handset’s display panel claiming it brings a pixel density of 403ppi and is complete with DCI-P3 color gamut support.
