Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5A has seen its own share of leaks in the past. Thanks to a flurry of leaks, we’ve seen almost all we need to see in regards to the handset’s specification.
Going by latest reports, some new specifications for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 handset have been released, bringing fresh details about the device’s specs.
According to the report, the upcoming Redmi Note 5A handset will pack a similar-sized display like the Redmi Note 5 which came bearing a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The Redmi Note 5A’s device, however, will have a slightly less dense display with HD resolution.
Compared to the Redmi Note 5 that was earlier rumored to pack the Snapdragon 630 or 660 SoC, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, on the other hand, has been to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM.
Coming to the camera department, the Redmi Note 5A is said to come bearing a 13-megapixel rear camera and at the front sport a 5-megapixel camera for taking selfies.
The smartphone is also said to come running Android 7.1.1 whilst offering 16GB internal storage. The handset is also said to be backed by a 3080mAh battery compared to the 3790mAh battery that was seen on the Redmi Note 5.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A variant measures 153×76.2×7.59mm and weigh 150 grams. In one separate report, it was discovered the company might release a higher-end model of the handset.
As per price, the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will go for a starting price of CNY 999 and will be made available for purchase on August 21.
