In May last year, Xiaomi took center stage to announce their largest smartphone till date, the Xiaomi Mi Max. This handset proved to be a great step for the manufacturer as many interested user went for it until it is no longer listed on the Company’s official page.
However, over a year later, rumors about a successor has started sprouting up pointing to the fact that we will be receiving a new successor to the aforementioned smartphone which will be tagged with the moniker Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
According to these recent rumors, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 2 phablet will be unveiled in an event scheduled to take place on the 23rd of this Month whilst publicity to make everyone know about this event will kick off within the next few hours.
According to rumors, this new large beast will be powered by two processors which include a Snapdragon 660 processor that will be coupled up with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM, and a Snapdragon 626 SoC bundled up with 4GB RAM. The battery pack will increase from 4850mAh to a much better 5000mAh cell that should give you long hours of usage.
The handset will sport a Full HD screen size of 6.44 inch with a resolution of about 1080 x 1920 Pixels. MIUI 8 coupled up with Android Nougat operating system will be fully operational from the box. There was a rumor with regards to MIUI 9 making an appearance on this device, nonetheless, that seems highly unlikely now that we have a speculated launching date for this device.
