Following the launch of Xiaomi’s Mi Max 2 in India, the handset has now reportedly gone on sale in the country. The handset is tipped to be made available to buy via the Mi Home store in Bengaluru and will be becoming more broadly available online and offline later in the future.
To refresh, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 flagship handset was first released in May this year and was later unveiled in India some few weeks ago.
Coming to the specification, the Mi Max 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. While the handset saw a release in two storage options in China, we can’t say for sure if both variants will also be launched in India.
One comes with 64GB inbuilt storage, while the other offers 128GB storage. The latter, however, was priced at roughly Rs. 18,900.
Running MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat, the handset packs a 12-megapixel rear camera with PDAF support and dual-LED flash that the company claims is identical to the Mi 6.
The phone is backed by a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that is similar to its predecessor. Xiaomi touts the 5300mAh battery and claims it can last up to two days and comes with Quick Charge 3.0 that can power up the battery up to 68 percent in just one hour.
