Going by latest reports, Xiaomi has launched its latest mid-range handset dubbed Xiaomi Mi 5X in China. Priced at CNY 1,499, the Xiaomi Mi 5X is said to be made available in Black, Gold and Pink color variants.
Coming to the specs, the dual-SIM (Nano) handset packs a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LTPS display and is expected to run on MIUI 9 customized on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM, the handset comes with a dual rear camera setup that consists of 12-megapixel wide-angle tagged with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and a 12-megapixel telephoto as well as 1-micron pixel sensor and a f/2.6 aperture that is much alike with the Xiaomi Mi 6.
Featuring a Portrait Mode for bokeh effects, that is also seen on the iPhone 7 Plus and the OnePlus 5, the Mi 5X device offers a 5-megapixel front camera with real-time beautification.
The handset brings 64GB of internal storage with an option to expand via microSD card (up to 128GB).
As for connectivity options, the handset comes with 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Talking about onboard sensors, the device comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
To add, the latest Xiaomi offering also comes bearing a high-quality audio output tagged with DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm and a standalone audio amplifier for enhanced quality via headphones. The handset is backed by a 3080mAh battery, measures 155.4×75.8×7.3mm, and weighs 165grams.
