After successfully launching the Xiaomi Mi 5c sometime back, it looks like Xiaomi is gearing up to release another, version of its renowned Mi 5 handset.
Dubbed Xiaomi Mi 5X, the Chinese handset maker is reportedly getting set to launch the device expected to take place on July 26.
Earlier this weekend, the handset was seen in various leaks, that gave us a glimpse of the device in terms of design, form, features, and specs.
Going by the leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 5X will come running Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9, which was earlier affirmed by the company to see a release before August 16.
The handset was also seen in a teaser that showed an Actor named Kris Wu holding the device, sporting a dual rear camera configuration tagged with a dual-LED flash module, and a fingerprint scanner seated in the center area.
Based on preliminary leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 5X is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and be powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC equipped with 4GB of RAM.
Coming to the design, the handset is alleged to take the shape of the iPhone 7 Plus and be offered in Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color variants.
Separately, Xiaomi just recently released the Mi Max 2 in India at a price of Rs. 16,999. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 packs a massive 6.44-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, 5300mAh battery, and 4GB RAM.
Notably, the handset is the successor of the Mi Max that was released last year and comes with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor tagged with PDAF and dual-LED flash. At the front area, it bears a 5-megapixel camera.
