After a hoard of rumours revealing the dimension, specification, and form of Xiaomi’s Mi 5c, causing many of its consumers to almost giving up on the device, fresher leaks have surfaced online since then.
The device has reportedly been spotted on one of China’s most reputable certification website, revealing key details about the device, and also igniting anew hopes of a launch.
According to the report, five different Xiaomi smartphone variants went through certification on the website. The most anticipate one bearing the model number MAE136 is expected to be the Xiaomi Mi 5c also known as Xiaomi Meri. The other model numbers that also went through certification include 2105212, 2016089, 2016101, and MBE6A5.
According to the listing, it was revealed that the model number MAE136 will come with a 5V/2A power adapter, which automatically means that the Xiaomi Mi 5c will not support fast charging.
The smartphone device is tipped to feature narrow bezels and a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass protection. The handset is also expected to be powered by the company’s own Pinecone processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
Offering an internal storage of 64GB, the Xiaomi Mi 5c is also tipped to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megpaixel front camera. The handset is expected to run on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box.
