If you’re a WWE fan looking for a good (and preferably free) brawler for your Android phone or tablet, you’re in for a surprise. Warner Bros have released WWE Immortals on Android as a full-fledged mobile game with stunning graphics and your favorite WWE superstars. The game is a free download (albeit huge – 1.37 GBs) with in-app purchases.
If you’re a fan of fighting games, you are probably familiar with Injustice: Gods Among Us, and WWE Immortals is basically a re-skinned version of the same game. That however is not a bad thing, and this game is thoroughly enjoyable in its own right. The touch screen controls make do nicely and you’ll love playing with John Cena, Triple H or The Rock.
The game is filled with over-the-top combos and the effects to match, making for truly fantastical fighting scenes WWE fans probably dream of. The roster of celebrities isn’t as rich as you may want, but you’ll find enough superstars to get busy from the start.
To make things more interesting, you also get to level up your characters and upgrade them to fight against real people in the online arena. The server is currently down (temporarily I assume), but those who have played it online have good words to say.
All in all, I’d say WWE Immortals is definitely a fun game (yes I like WWE) but it might test your Android phone or tablet’s GPU unit. If you’re getting artifacts or white and grey screens it is likely that your device doesn’t support the game. However, those with high-end and newer Android devices should be safe.
If you want to download a fun time-killing brawler, even if you’re not a WWE fan, WWE Immortals will at the very least make you proud of what your mobile device is capable of.
We’d love to know what you think of the game once you’re done downloading and playing it on your Android phone or tablet.
