Vivo is gearing up to release its long-rumored Vivo X20 Plus in a display fingerprint edition. The handset is expected to be released on the 24th of January.
While previous rumors claimed that the handset will drop on the 25th of January, the Chinese electronic consumer giants have now affirmed the release of the handset on the 24th January.
As spotted on Chinese certification website TENNA, the Vivo X20 bears a Synaptics Clear ID 9500 optical under-display fingerprint feature.
Interestingly, Vivo appears to be the first Chinese company to be introducing world’s first in-display fingerprint scanning technology that we saw at CES 2018.
The Listing also further shows the Vivo X20 Plus offering a 6.43-inch OLED display tagged with 2160×1080 pixels resolution. The handset will bring a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, bearing 4GB of RAM speed.
Talking about the processor, we can’t be completely sure if the handset will with the same Snapdragon 660 SoC that came with the original Vivo X20 Plus.
As per camera, the handset features a dual camera configuration that comprises of a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. At the front, it sports a 12-megapixel camera.
Moving on, the Vivo X20 Plus in-display fingerprint variant will offer an internal memory unit of 128GB with an option to expand via microSD card (up to 256GB).
What’s more, the handset is spotted packing a 3800mAh battery, Bluetooth, USB support, and 4G connectivity. Measuring 165.2×80.02×7.35mm dimensions, and weighing 183.1 grams, the upcoming handset is set to be offered in Black Gold, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black.
