Vivo is reportedly making plans to unveil a new handset in its V5 series. Following the launch of the Vivo V5 that took place last year, and the V5 Plus earlier this year, the company is now looking to launch the Vivo V5s handset in India on April 27.
Much like its predecessors, the Vivo V5s is also said to be released as a selfie-centric handset. Going by reports, the handset will roll out with similar design elements and specifications as the V5.
Further, the Vivo V5s will feature a metal unibody design with a 5.5-inch HD display and a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.
The handset is also tipped to come with the same MT6750 chipset with 4GB of RAM under the hood like the Vivo V5 device.
The major highlight of the device is its front camera that is rumored to be a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash as was seen on the V5.
As for the back area, the handset will offer a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone will also like be fitted with a 3,000mAh battery.
The device measures 153.8×75.5×7.55mm and weigh 154 grams. The dual-SIM handset will support 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via MicroSD card slot (up to 128GB). It packs connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm port, and a Micro-USB 2.0 port.
The handset will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on FunTouch OS 2.6 out of the box. According to one report, the device could be priced at Rs. 18,990, to be made available in a Matte Black color variant.
