Vivo V5 Plus, V5 Lite Selfie-Focused Smartphones Launched

Vivo has just recently unveiled its plans to release the Vivo V5 Plus ahead of what might seem like one of the biggest smartphone launchings in India come the 23rd of January.

Part of the V5 Plus’ biggest highlight includes its front-facing dual camera setup. Following that, the company also reportedly unveiled a lower-specced version of the V5 smartphone dubbed the V5 Lite. According to reports, the dual-SIM Vivo V5 Plus mobile device runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC equipped with 4GB of RAM.

In regards to optics, Vivo V5 Plus bears a 16-megapixel rear camera, with LED flash. However, the true delimitation aspect of the camera comes in the form of a dual camera setup at the frontal section with a 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors. The 20-megapixel camera on the Vivo V5 Plus utilizes Sony’s IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens system, while the 8-megapixel camera, on the hand, captures depth-of-field information.

Further, the Vivo V5 Plus features an internal storage of 64GB that is expandable up to 256Gb using a microSD card The device also packs a 3160mAh battery that supports fast charging. As per connectivity options, the V5 Plus offers 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and GPS.

The mobile device which is expected to be rolled out in Gold color option only also measures 152.8×74.00×7.26 mm as well as weighing 158.6 grams. Finally, the smartphone device comes with a fingerprint scanner sitting right into the home button.
