Not long ago, having to transfer contacts from one mobile platform to another was a hideous process as it means that you will have type in endless list of names, phone numbers as well as other informations from one device to another.

So here are the two best and simple ways to transfer contacts from an iPhone to and Android powered device and visa verse.
1. Use Google Account sync
For an Android smartphone owner, having a Google Gmail account is a most if you want to enjoy all the wonderful features that comes with the platform. But if, for some odd reason you don’t have one, you get yourself a Gmail account with just few easy steps.
First head over to the Gmail homepage and select the “Create account” option then follow the prompts.
The same can be done with your phone but the desktop experience is much better.
After creating your Google Gmail account, use your iPhone and head over to the “Mail, Contacts, Calenders” section of the general settings Menu. Find the add account option and click on the “Add Account” option after which you will be prompted to enter your Gmail log in information.
Next your iPhone device will ask what part of your Google accounts would you like synchronized, make sure you select contacts then the devices will automatically start synchronizing contacts provided that there is an Internet connection during the whole process.
2. Use iCloud
Having an iCloud account enabled in your devices means that you can transfer contacts details from iPhone to Android device in little to no time at all.
Head over to your iPhone’s general settings and then choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”, iCloud should be listed, select the options and then toggle on for “Contacts.” The iPhone device will ask you if you want to merge your device’s contacts with iCloud.
Once this process is done, navigate to icloud.com on your computer’s web browser, log in with your Apple ID, then select “Contacts”. Click on the gear icon in the lower-left corner, then press “Select All”. After that, click the wheel again and choose “Export vCard”.
Now log into your gmail account then click on the “Mail” button then select “Contacts. Select the “ More” tab and click on “Import”, select the “Choose File” option then browser for the saved vCard file. You contacts will be automatically imported and Gmail should display all your list of contacts.
