The 2017 Mobile World Congress is officially over, with a new big wave of smartphones coming; most especially, Snapdragon 835-powered smartphones. However, there is still some time to wait before these models officially go on sale. The speciality of the Snapdragon processor is the strong performance it provides.
Benchmarking site Antutu has listed the top 10 best-performing smartphones in various categories, and the chart is based on the average performance of the smartphones. Down to the list, there are few new entrants but on the whole several others retain their position.
The Apple A10 chip used in Apple iPhone 7 Plus retains its position as number one as no chipset can challenge it for now. This is not to say that Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chip and Samsung’s Exynos 8895 can’t match it but they are yet to find their way into smartphones.

Next on the chart is the iPhone 7 which has a marginal lower clock speed on its chip than the 7 Plus. Making the list at third is the Oneplus 3T powered by Snapdragon 821 as it continues to dominate, with number 4 also been the Snapdragon 821 powered LeEco Le Pro 3. And the Hammer M1L released last year by Smartisan occupies the fifth position.
Down to the 6th to 10th position, surprisingly uses SD 821 but with different clock frequency, changing the score set by Antutu. In that order, the Lenovo ZUK Edge is sixth, followed by OnePlus 3, Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus, Mi 5S and Mi Note 2.
Interestingly to know that all eight smartphones are Chinese brands and so occupy the top eight spot in the top 10 domestic brands category. The remaining two positions are occupied by the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Vivo Xplay 6 respectively.
