One of Android’s major selling point continues to be the ability to change the general look and feel of the GUI using themes, icon packs and fonts. With the hundreds of icon packs available for the Android ecosystem, here we have rounded those we believe are the best of the bunch (10 in total) 5 of which are paid while the rest are completely free.
#1. Rewun – Icon Pack
First on our list is a materialized and distinctive icon set, the Rewun icon pack. The icons are different and have breathtaking details that will take the look of your device to a whole other level.
Containing over 3,550 icons, 50 QHD wallpapers, a clock widget, a dynamic calendar, and Muzei live wallpaper compatibility among others, this is a great icon pack currently on sale for $0.99.
#2. Elun – Icon Pack
Another paid flat circular icon pack is the Elun icon pack, however unlike Zolo icons (featured later in the list), Elun icons are shadowless. This is another round and flat icon pack, and it includes 3,370 icons with over 30 HD wallpapers available for you to choose from.
Elun is compatible with most third-party launchers, including Nova, Aviate, Action, ADW, and many others. The pack also gets weekly updates which bring in even more themed icons and is on sale for $0.99.
#3. Materialistik – Icon Pack
Materialistik is a very well manually drawn icon set based on Google’s Material Design guidelines. It brings the new Marshmallow feel to your device with over 3,100 icons and 106 HD 3000×2675 px cloud-based wallpapers. This material design icon pack is also on sale for just $0.99.
#4.Umbra – Icon Pack
For $0.99, this is a beautiful icon pack. It contains rounded icons with strong dark long shadows around each of them. The icons have a dazzling look as they are carefully crafted shapes with sharp attention to detail and are black in color.
Not only is this a unique pack, it’s got over 3,600 icons, 50 wallpapers and much more.
#5. Retrorika – Icon Pack
Nick-named within the design community as the icon pack of beautiful memories, Retrorika is a vintage palette themed icon pack that is based on Google’s Material Design. Having over 3,000 icons inspired by material design, a smart icon request feature and a search function among others, this icon pack is a good buy for $0.99.
#6. Zolo Icon Pack
Zolo is our first free icon pack in this list and it is a minimal, flat, circle style icon pack which contains over 40 cloud based wallpapers alongside very clean and well-deigned icons which look beautiful on your home screen. This makes it one of the best-paid icon packs on the Play Store.
#7. Bleach Icon Pack
The bleach icon set has its sharp icons on muted, soft-colored backgrounds that allow a perfect match for pastel wallpapers and retro-style themes. It comes with nearly 1,500 icons and an option to request more. Bleach also offers 20 wallpapers that compliment the icons and all this is totally free.
#8. Candy Icon Pack
Most icon packs that we know tend to be consistent with their shapes and lines but CandyCons plays by a different set of rules. Having over 900 carefully crafted icons that come in various colors and shapes, it will give your Android device a facial uplift for $1.49. Some icons have alternatives, and switching them is as easy as simply holding down an icon and choosing a replacement from the popup dialog.
If you’re looking for a nice but different icon pack this is the one to go for.
#9. Retro Icon Pack
Retro designs are loved for their unique dreamy, vintage and beautiful look, Although most retro-themed icon packs are not free with some of the free ones not being good enough, Retro, with help from the creators of moonshine icons have succeeded in bringing us an awesome icon set for free.
#10. Moonshine Icon Pack
Moonshine icon pack still makes it on our list of top icon packs for Android because the idea is still as brilliant as ever. Having being inspired by leaks and rumors, they decided to make a full pack following the material design guidelines which were new at the time and they have been helping android users beautify their home and lock screens for free ever since.
