Nubia officially unveiled the Z17 mini few weeks back. The handset sported SD653 and SD652 processors from Qualcomm and some other niche specifications that made it worth the wait. Now, that the Z17 Mini is official, all eyes are eagerly waiting for its much more powerful Z17 sibling.
Fueling this desire is a benchmark result from Geekbench, testing a new handset from the makes of Nubia. The official moniker of the smartphone was not revealed as only the codename NX563J, was given. From the benchmarking scores, we can see that this new device is heading to the flagship spectrum as it sports a Snapdragon 835 chipset.
This might just be the Nubia Z17 smartphone we have all been waiting for, however, we admonish that you treat that information with the proverbial grain of salt as it has not yet been officially unveiled by the manufacturers themselves.
Thanks to the results from this test, we have a glimpse at some of the hardware and software of what might be the upcoming Nubia Z17. The monstrous processor is clocked at a speed of 1.90GHz and comes coupled up with 4GB of RAM. On the software side of things, it runs the Android Nougat operating system from the box.
For its multiple core test, the NX563J scores 6379 points, whereas for its single core test, it scored 1853 points. This scores are almost similar to those recorded by the Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphone from the Korean Giants, Samsung.
If this handset is indeed the Nubia Z17, then we are sure to see more on the RAM side of things as the mini went official with 6GB RAM variant, so we will be expecting this one to have one of its own as well.
However, a teaser of the Z17 has been out for quite some time now pointing out that this handset will have a Helio P10 processor ticking under the hood. This though seems unlikely as a mini variant cannot sport a more powerful processor than its bigger sibling.
