It’s barely a month since the release of Google’s new flagships, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL which have both encountered a series of issues as reported by many users.
This new report comes and many users are claiming that the new Pixel devices are giving what appears to be a clicking and high-pitched sounds.
Apart from that, some Pixel 2 XL users have also lodged in complaints involving issues with the display panel. The problem which is as a result of a black smear is a very common issue with OLED panels, although the situation is said to be far more severe on the latest Pixel 2 XL device.
Coming back to the clicking sound issue on the Pixel 2 units, users reported that their mobile phones started giving high pitch frequency sound and clicking when the screen is on and unlocked.
For most users that experienced the issue, also claimed that the problem persisted even after performing actions like a reboot, safe mode, airplane mode, and factory reset.
As usual, Google has managed to get in front of the whole issue by claiming it would soon release a fix for what might appear to be a problem caused by a bug.
Most of us can attest to this behavioral pattern from Google, and quite frankly, some of us have had enough of their incompetence and the inability to produce a top-end smartphone that doesn’t end up in a pile of unending issues.
Whether or not, the problem was caused by a bug, it’s really not our problem as the company has forced us to strongly believe that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices are nowhere to be considered Flagship devices.
