Gree is most likely a name you haven’t heard before but this OEM made quite a fuzz earlier this year as they took center stage to make official a new smartphone called the Gree Phone 2 which sported a 2k display and was powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC.
Now, this manufacturer is off again as they have revealed interest to shock the audience yet again with another smartphone to come powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor joining in on an increasingly growing list of smartphones expect to feature this SoC which includes the likes of Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi Mi 6.
This news was dished out to us by the well-known analyst, Pan Jiutang, on Weibo wherein he went on to speak of how successful the Gree Phone 2 was in the market and we are not shock with regards to the success of this smartphone giving the specifications it featured.
Since the Gree Phone 2 launched out with a 6 inch display, there is news on the way with regards to the fact that the folks over at Gree have started works on another variant of this smartphone which would be graced with a much smaller and compact 5.5 inch touchscreen display. We don’t know if however this smartphone would retain its 2k display or if the OEM would lessen its resolution.
