Of recent, we see most manufacturers make their flagship smartphone with a display that are about 5.5 inches and above only a few go below that mark. Xiaomi however, is one of those few as we have seen them in countless times shipping out flagship smartphones with screen lesser sizes.
Now, they have revealed intent to ship yet another flagship smartphone which would be having an even smaller display that would be less than 5 inches. This new top tier smartphone would be tagged with the moniker Xiaomi Mi S.
Although it has a small screen size, the phone comes in with a thicker than other smartphones with larger displays as it has a size of 128.3mm x 64.2mm x 8.2 mm and it isn’t too light also as it weighs in at 138g.
From what we know, this upcoming handset would feature a 4.6 inch Full HD touch panel with a resolution of 1080P. Above the screen, there would be a rather disappointing 4MP selfie snapper that should accompany a 12MP Sony IMX 378 main camera at the back that should be capable of shooting Full HD videos at 120fps and 1440P videos at 30fps.
Under the hood, the Qualcomm SD 821 flagship SoC is powering the handset alongside 4GB of RAM and a non-expandable ROM of 128GB. With supports for Quick Charge 3.0, we see that the 2600mAh battery pack it has been rumored to feature would definitely serve well.
The would be ab Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner thrown into the mix along with supports for dual band Wi-Fi network and a long list of other connectivity.
However, before you go forth bursting out in joy with regards to this new handset, be reminded that these are jst rumors and should be treated with the proverbial grain of salt.
