Smartisan has been popping up online these past months with regards to two handsets with the codenames OD103 and OD105. These devices have been spotted at the Chinese certification websites, 3C and TENAA, and we even saw the OD105 get benchmarked by the AnTuTu benchmarking site.
Smartisan has also announced that they will be holding an event on the 9th of May over in China where they will be launching a smartphone that has been tagged with the moniker Smartisan Nut Pro.
This smartphone will be heading out to storm the mid-range spectrum hard and it comes in with the spec to give it a much-needed fighting edge in the market. We are talking about the snapdragon 626 processor coupled up with 4GB of RAM and two storage variants of 32GB and 64GB.
On the camera side of things, the Smartisan Nut pro sports a 4Mpix selfie snapper above the display which will be used for all video calling apps and quenching the growing selfie desires of present generation users as well.
The smartphone will be running the Android Nougat 7.1.1 operating system from the box. The inclusion of the new SD626 chipset might just mean that this OEM has it in their plan to make this handset one of the most optimized mid-ranger given the capabilities of this chipset.
Whilst the smartphone has been set to launch on the 9th, bookings have already kicked with interested buyers depositing ¥500 to register. The handset will ask for ¥1,799 when it goes official and it will hit the stores just a day after that.
