Following the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco that almost put Samsung out of business for good, the company was recently spotted to have ruled out any additional compensation offer to be given to its Galaxy Note 7 users that claimed they suffered severe damages-inexplicable.
Many reportedly laid complaints that not only did they suffer physical damages but their properties were severely ruined as well. In a bid to get Samsung to pay for those damages caused by its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone – the demand of these loyal customers were not taken into consideration, instead they were spat upon.
This act of negligence influenced a class-action lawsuit that was reportedly filed by over 2,400 Samsung consumers – this aside from 5 individual lawsuits against the South Korean giant tech for the Note 7 disaster. Again, majority of the suits reportedly claimed Galaxy Note 7 users suffered physical damages as a result of the explosion that caused burns and all sorts of respiratory diseases.
According to another report, the company comments that it had already given all that it could give to all the affected victims. From allowing them to get the unreleased Galaxy S8 at half the price to compensating them for their lost devices – the company feels it has done its best.
However, it only seems fair that most consumers felt all they had done isn’t enough compared to the troubles caused by the Galaxy Note 7. Some suggested they needed additional compensation for all the time Samsung spent in replacing their exploded handsets phones. While others felt they should be well paid off for having to go through the psychological distress and fear incurred while using the phones.
