Samsung To Start Production of Foldable Smartphones by Q4 of This Year

Samsung has shown why they have been ranked as number one on the smartphone charts as we recently saw they acquire all the available snapdragon 835 processors for themselves as this chipsets would be powering their flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Edge coming soon.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that this is one of the most anticipated phone of all time and we hope it lives up to expectation when it finally sees the light of day in March. The wait seems long, but the manufacturer have promised us that it would be worth it.

Whilst their 2017 isn’t entirely based on their Galaxy S8 smartphones, the manufactures have reportedly been said to be working on foldable smartphones to start launching before 2018 and now, there is news that the first batch of such a smartphone would start production in the last quarter of 2017.

This would mean that we would get to see teasers and leaks of this smartphone this year, but we would only get to purchase one when it goes official sometime next year. Samsung is going to be testing the waters with a minor production of the first batch with only a few of these smartphones to see how well they do in the market.

If they manage to succeed, then we are sure to be seeing more foldable devices from this manufacturer, who knowns, you might just be able to fold the next gen Galaxy S series. Nonetheless, that seems highly unlikely as the mass production of such device is said to commence on the 2H of 2018 and such devices are expected to come with large display of 7 inches or so.
