Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 Rugged Smartphone With Android 7.0 Nougat Launched

Going by latest reports, Samsung has officially launched the successor of the Galaxy Xcover 3 handset. The device which is dubbed as Xcover 4 is reportedly listed on the company’s German website with all specification details.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 handset is also claimed to be made available in Europe sometime in April. The major highlight of the device is its huskiness and its dust and water resistance functionalities. The handset is expected to roll out in a Black colour option, at a price of EUR 259.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 smartphone as claimed by the company, comes with a military-grade rating for toughness and ruggedness, that can survive high and low temperatures, falls, vibration, humidity and so on.

The handset also comes with IP68-rating for dust and water resistance, that the company hints can withstand immersion for up 30 minutes in up to 1 metre of water. The mobile device also sports three physical buttons at the bottom for Home, Navigation, and Multitasking.

As per specs, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s own TouchWiz skin. Sporting a 4.99-inch (720×1280 pixels) TFT display, the device is powered by a 64-bit 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset offers 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via a microSD card.

As for optics, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel selfie camera as well. It houses a 2800mAh battery and weighs 172 grammes.
