A few months ago, Samsung promised that it was going to push out the Daydream Technology to the already launched Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.
As it turns out, T-Mobile has released an update for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ consumers, finally offering the Google Daydream VR platform support that has been widely anticipated for a while now.
Nevertheless, the arrival of the ‘Google Daydream capability’, seems like a waste of time, as the technology appears not to be working on the handsets as of now.
According to one report, it was seen that the Daydream application on its T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S8+ unit failed to successfully run the VR service.
Further, it was also reported that the Daydream application doesn’t show up on Google Play, as many users had to load from APK Mirror.
For those, seeking answers, one report has made us understand that even though the update from T-Mobile claims Daydream support is here, and the South Korean tech giants Samsung may have done its part in integrating it for the two handsets, Google is yet to provide support for the same.
With all that being said, it’s good to know that the full Daydream support is around the corner and the application should boot and setup without any hiccups pretty soon.
Apart from the rumored Google Daydream capability, the T-Mobile Android 7.0 update version for the Samsung Galaxy S8+ also brings “DIGITS update, Qualcomm update for microphone fix, Bixby enhancements, and various system improvements.
