As the unveiling of the most widely anticipated smartphone, the Galaxy S8, gets closer, many smartphone buyers across the globe are getting even more excited. While we’ve all seen several renders suggesting the overall design of Samsung’s Galaxy S8, the truth is, we might all just be blown away when the South Korean tech giants finally roll out the handset.
Going by latest rumours, Samsung has reportedly confirmed that it will roll out its Samsung Galaxy S8 with a massive screen. Following that, the company also confirmed that it will be pushing out the S8 device with a battery expected to be smaller than that of the S8 Plus, thus confirming previous leaks.
According to an unnamed senior Samsung official, reportedly claimed that the company has made up its mind to launch its next flagship device in two screen sizes – a 5.8-inch modular Galaxy S8, and a 6.2-inch variant, which is rumoured to be called the Galaxy S8 Plus.
The report also disclosed that the company will settle for battery sizes of 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh for the 5.8-inch and 6.2inch smartphones respectively.
Even with such a reported confirmation, we’ll probably still have to wait until the Galaxy S8 is finally launched to know for sure if indeed the company will do as promised.
Additionally, for those Samsung users worried about such a large screen, all the relevant leaks and rumours that we’ve gather so far all point to the bezels being significantly shrunk – thus the overall footmark of the handset might not be too huge after all.
