In the light of the previous rumor that the S7 will come in two variants, Shai Mizrachi had confirmed to AndroidAuthority earlier today that indeed there will be two variants of the aforementioned handset.
Mizrachi is known to have accurately leaked the image of the S6 Edge Plus last year and this, of course, gives this new leak more credibility.
According to the details, the S7 should come with a 5.2-inch panel while the S7 Edge will come with a larger display – at 5.7-inch against the S6 and Edge of this year that both featured a screen at 5.1-inch diagonally.
Secondly, the Galaxy S7 will come with a 3D curved rear as seen on the Galaxy Note 5 for better handling but with a flat front while the S7 Edge will feature a display with curved – both devices will come with a QHD resolution at 2560 by 1440P.
It is also said that Sammy will drop IR blaster in the S7 like most OEMs are already doing – hinting that infrared sensor will soon be phased out completely.

Samsung’s move to release two S7 variants with different display sizes is well welcomed as the whole industry is lingering toward that trend especially the company’s main competitor al’a Apple.
