Samsung has released a new Galaxy J5 Pro handset which is intended as an upgraded version of the Galaxy J5 (2017). The new device has been unveiled in the Thailand market with a tag of THB 9,990.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro packs a higher RAM size and storage space compared to the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) that saw a release last month.
Apart from this, all other specifications of the new Galaxy J5 Pro are same as the Galaxy J5 (2017). To recap, the Galaxy J5 (2017) came with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage space. The Galaxy J5 Pro, however, was rolled with 3GB of RAM speed whilst packing 32GB of storage.
Some of the major highlights of the new device include the metal design, fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support, and Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, packs a dual-SIM slot and features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display.
Powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor paired with Mali T830 GPU, the smartphone supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB).
Talking about optics, the Galaxy J5 Pro features a 13-megapixel rear and front camera with LED flash on both sides. The rear sensor brings f/1.7 aperture while the front sensor sports f/1.9 aperture.
The handset houses a 3000mAh battery and comes with connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB port, and GPS. It measures 146.3×71.3×7.9mm.
The Galaxy J5 Pro also comes with a fingerprint scanner at the front mounted in the home button, just like the Galaxy J5 (2017).
