Samsung appears to be on a roll as the South Korean tech giants just recently released the J2 Pro (2018) and now Galaxy A8+. Although the Samsung J2 Pro is yet to hit the Indian market, users can delight themselves with the Galaxy A8+.
The new smartphone highlights Infinity Display tagged with Super AMOLED technology, 6GB of RAM, IP68 dust and water resistance, Bixby feature, dual front cameras and Samsung Pay support.
The handset is priced at Rs. 32,990 and will be made exclusively to Amazon India starting from January 20 after which interested buyer can begin to make their purchase.
Coming to specs, the handset support dual-SIM (Nano) and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It brings a 6-inch FHD+ (1080×2220 pixels) Super AMOLED display bearing 18.5:9 aspect ratio and is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7885 octa-core SoC, clubbed with two cores clocked at a 2.2GHz and six cores clocked at 1.6GHz.
Talking about speed, the handset comes with 6GB of RAM, coupled with an onboard storage of 64GB that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB).
In the camera department, the handset comes with dual front sensors that consist of a 16-megapixel fixed focus, f/1.9 image sensor, and an 8-megapixel f/1.9 sensor. The camera comes with a feature that brings a Live Focus effect to adjust the Bokeh effect while taking self-portraits. It offers a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor on the back tagged with a f/1.7 lens.
As per connectivity, the device comes with options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Backed by a 3500mAh battery, the handset measures 159.9×75.7×8.3 and weighs 191 grams.
