Following so many rumours regarding Samsung’s next generation flagships that are all due to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year, fresh rumours have recently surfaced, showing some new details about Samsung’s 2017 variant of Galaxy A5 which is already raising a lot of eyebrows.
The specifications and pricing of the smartphone device have been leaked online and many are hoping it’s not one of those reports that turn out be false at the end.
According to the leak, the Galaxy A5 (2017) will likely feature a 5.2in full HD screen, an Exynos 7880 chip housing an octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, alongside a RAM speed of 3GB. The phone features two cameras – both rear and front-facing – reading 16 megapixels. The smartphone device packs a 3000mAh battery with a thickness of 7.8mm.
The new Galaxy A5 (2017) device is reportedly costing about $390. The device which is also reportedly to hit the Chinese market first is expected to be made available to other parts of the world.
What more, the phone is also rumoured to come in four colour variants such as blue, black, pink and gold. According to one report, the blue coral model would likely experience the highest demand. Another report has also claimed that the firmware for the Galaxy A5 (2017) contains about eight system wallpapers.
Just a quick recap on the 2016 variant of the Galaxy A5 that featured an octa-core 1.6GHz processor, paired with a 2GB RAM. The device bears a rear camera of 13 megapixels while the front camera is read megapixels.
Built with 16GB storage capacity that can be further expanded to 128GB with a microSD card, the phone also houses a 2900mAh battery which Samsung claims can last up to 14 hours of internet usage on 3G, video playback and 16 hours of talk time.
