It is no new news that the folks over at Oneplus would be skipping the Oneplus 4 to head on to the Oneplus 5. This handset would be a successor to the Oneplus 3T that was launched last year and it is right about these period that the next in line for the Oneplus series goes live.
As we approach its launching date, more detail with regards to its specifications begin to pop up and one that has really caught our attention is the edge to edge display which it has been said to feature, making it look more or less like a Samsung galaxy S7 edge rip off. However, they have gone a step higher ahead of the Korean giant as they have been said to be blending glass and aluminum for the chassis of this device.
More so, previous rumors had it that this device would come powered by Qualcomm’s snapdragon 830 processor, but we are still yet to see this chipset. Therefore, if the OP3T went official with the Snapdragon 821 SoC, we are sure that the upcoming Oneplus should go live with a Snapdragon 835 processor.
The addition of a 6GB RAM variant would be made available but there is word that a much beastly 8GB RAM version would also be thrown into the market when this handset goes official. These RAM sizes would be coupled up with either 64GB or 128GB both of which would be expandable to an additional 256GB.
The phone would also be coming in with a 16MP selfie snapper that would be accompanying a main camera at the back of 23MP. The OP5 should be fueled by 4000mAh of battery juice that is made even better with Dash Charge fast charging technology.
It should also be running the Android Nougat OS from the box and since the OP3 went live sometime in June, let us also set out gaze up for the ending of Q2.
